According to the agreement reached, Dangote Refinery is to sell petrol only NNPC Limited, and ahead of scheduled petrol loading, it was disclosed that The NNPC Limited had deployed over 100 petrol tankers, with hundreds more en route to Dangote Refinery’s loading gantry in Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos.
The NNPC was recently announced as the sole buyer of the company’s petroleum product, and will supply about 385,000 barrels of crude oil per day to Dangote Refinery, to be paid in Naira.
”In return, the Dangote Refinery will supply PMS (petrol) and diesel of equivalent value to the domestic market, to be paid in Naira,” this was disclosed by the Finance Minister, Wale Edun while revealing the details of the deal.
